Dates: Beginning June 9, M-F 8:00am-5:00pm
Fee: $80/week
Location: Thomas Page Room of Ray Miller Community Center, 216 East School Street (behind City Hall)
The CIT program is designed to prepare and train young teens to
become future Camp Counselors. This training will provide the CIT with
a hands-on practical experience laying the foundation for development
of skills necessary to become a future Camp Counselor. The CIT will be working with children ages 5 to 12 years old. While this training is specific to summer camps, the CIT will find aspects of the training that may be applied to any job.
CITs will be trained with the oversight of a City of Cotati employee and will be given the opportunity to grow and improve. While the City
of Cotati does intend on training a CIT to become a future Camp
Counselor, participation in the CIT program is in no way a guarantee
for future employment. Lunch is available at no extra cost.
On the first day of camp that a child attends with us, families will be given a Family Handbook. By registering for camp, you agree to the policies in the Family Handbook. If you would like an advanced copy, please contact the Rec Department at kbetts@cotaticity.gov.
Cancellations: The City will issue a refund, less a 10% administration fee, up to 10 calendar days before the start of the program. Between 4-9 calendar days to
the start of the program, the City will refund 50% of the registration fee. The City will not issue a refund with less than 4 calendar days to the start of the program. Refunds may take up to 4 weeks to process. Contract classes may have a different cancellation policy set by instructor, contact Rec Department for more info.
